Private cloud which maybe termed corporate cloud is a term for a proprietary computing architecture that provides hosted services to a limited number of users or consumers, usually with in the same organisation or associates of the organisation.

Virtualisation and distributed computing have allowed corporate networks and datacenter administrators to deliver their own cloud computing solutions and in effect become service providers delivering services to meet the needs of their “customers” within an organisation or corporation.

Private Cloud by its definition appeals to an organisation that needs or wants more control over their data and the highest security possible.  Negating the use of a third-party hosted service by it’s nature improves security.
